The internals could not be locked. They are in use by another user.
This transient error disappears on its own
You sync and get this error:
Error 3170 : While trying to Mod a(n) Invoice with name or order number of INV144741, QB responded There was an error when modifying a Invoice. QuickBooks error message: The internals could not be locked. They are in use by another user.
This error can happen, if the sale you are modifying is open by someone else in QuickBooks.
Our software fails to update orders in QuickBooks. Sometimes, the order total is different in QuickBooks and your website. Connex should add a discount, but the discount fails to appear on certain sales.
Try signing out, closing QuickBooks, reopening it, and resyncing the sale. This error is transient.
Single User Mode
This error can happen sometimes in multi-user mode and the error is transient. The error can happen, if the user runs certain reports. Switch to single user mode and resync:
- In QuickBooks, go to file and click single user mode.
- Once QuickBooks confirms, log into Connex.
- Click manual sync.
- Adjust the sync timers.
- Click submit.
- Run your web connector.
