How do I sync automatically on multiple machines?

Can the web connector share a login?

QuickBooks allows one user to log in at a time. Your web connector must have a separate user, so it can log into QuickBooks and sync.

What if my file is closed, I am signed in as admin on another machine, and my web connector tries to sync as admin?

Your web connector will say request to abort. Your Connex log will show this message:

The user you are trying to log in with is already logged in from another machine.

If you sign out as admin, the web connector will sync at the next opportunity. If you want to auto-sync, read the next sections.

I have QuickBooks open on two other machines. Can I open it again?

The web connector will open QuickBooks. Right click your task bar. Go to details. Look for QB32.exe. If it's already open twice, then you can perform no sync. In this example, QuickBooks is completely closed. The web connector would open another instance:

Here are the steps:

  1. In QuickBooks, go to company > users > set up users and roles.
  2. Click new.
  3. As the user name, enter Connex:
