How Do I Charge Sales Tax on Shipping?
In some cases, the shipping cost is taxable. If shipping tax is applicable to you then you need to tell Connex to mark shipping as taxable in the settings. Instructions:
1. Select My Rules under the Rules Engine tab on the left side of your Connex Dashboard.
2. Click Add New rule and choose, Map field, based on a condition, then > Advance:
3. Name your rule and choose Map Shipping Tax Rate:
4. For step 3, click Add and enter the following Condition:
6. Leave the 'What should the value be?' field blank. Click Submit.
Your rule should now be complete and will add Sales Tax to shipping. You will see the new rule added to your list as in the example below:
