Why does Amazon remove items from selling on FBA during inventory sync?
With the Connex Inventory Update feature, Connex downloads a list of all products from Amazon. If the product queued for update happens to be a product Fulfilled by Amazon (FBA), the inventory update may fail if the FBA product is no longer available for sale on Amazon or if Connex cannot tell the difference between a product that's merchant fulfilled (MFN) or FBA.
Connex pulls a list of items from Amazon, prior to the inventory sync. If the item is sold on FBA, then Connex excludes it from the sync. Unfortunately, Amazon sometimes returns no items on the user's account. Therefore, our software fails to determine whether an item is FBA and to exclude it.
I use Amazon FBA for some of my goods. How do I fix this?
This issue can be alleviated by adding a rule to the Connex Rules Engine, with the goal of excluding certain products from updating.
- Login to Connex.
- Click rules > my rules on the left.
- Click add new.
- Choose start from scratch.
- As the action, choose Never Sync Product from QuickBooks.
- Under comparison, choose SKU and equals. You can choose matches, if you want to select a range of SKUs:
- Enter a SKU.
- Leave map to blank.
- Click finish.
